Air Plant

My mom picked up this air plant for me from our local farmer's market a couple of weeks back.  When she first presented the plant to me, I wasn't quite sure what to do with it.  I couldn't exactly plant it in the backyard or put it in a vase.  After some Google-ing about caring for air plants, my mom suggested that I display it on a piece of driftwood she found during our vacation to Seaside, Oregon a couple of years ago.  One word, two (possibly three...) syllables: GENIUS.  I loved the idea of making a display out of solely organic materials.  I also loved the way the pink flowers popped against the neutral brown of the wood.  Overall, I couldn't be happier with the way this display turned out.
