Makeup Review: Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation

Finding the perfect foundation for my type of skin has always proved to be a challenge. I have dryness in the T-Zone, and some acne scars. In addition to this, I have many freckles that I can't decide if I like or not, and finding the right foundation for someone who is an indecisive and picky as I am is an extremely difficult task. In general, I am a much bigger fan of liquid foundation rather than loose powder like Bare Minerals, since I found that it didn't stay on too well, and didn't give me the coverage I was hoping for. I began my long search for the perfect liquid foundation while I was abroad in Japan and after scouring YouTube videos and beauty blogs, I finally came across Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation. I was a little skeptical at first, but this drugstore foundation has done wonders for my skin! I can build up however much coverage I need for the day, and it doesn't feel too heavy! Not only does it go on easily, but I absolutely love how it feels soft to the touch, no matter how much I have on. This foundation lasts a lot longer than what I was using before and I can't believe that it stays on so well. Although I did have to touch up during the day (which was expected because I am a nanny, requiring lots of running, juggling, tears and diapers, and there are not many makeup brands that can hold up to all of that). One suggestion I would have about this foundation is to put on lotion before applying, especially if you have dry skin. Other than that, I would absolutely recommend this foundation for those who have a hard time finding a good drug store foundation that fits their dry skin. Plus the price is great! It's under $11 at Target. But remember, makeup is not what makes you beautiful, who you are inside is even more important.
